چکیده

While tremendous progress has been made in the understanding of mechanisms leading to cancers, governing formation metastases remains poorly understood. The cell-cell adhesion protein E-cadherin (E-cad) associated with metastatic development melanoma, but have not yet described nor actual impact E-cad evaluated. Here, using a novel mouse model expressing oncogenic form NRASQ61K melanocyte, we show that conditional deletion Cdh1 (which encode E-cad) does influence melanoma initiation dramatically promotes metastases. Interestingly, loss induces intensely expression Gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (Grpr) belonging G protein-coupled family. Activation GRPR major cellular processes tumor progression such as cell growth, clonogenicity, resistance anoikis, and invasion migration. At molecular level, activation transcription factor YAP1, involved metastasis. Furthermore, induction ability human murine cells colonize lungs after injection into tail vein mice. Targeting antagonist, RC-3095, drastically decreases Therefore, our study highlights importance newly discovered E-cad/GRPR axis progression. Moreover, results propose targeting new therapeutic option treating

Autophagy- An emerging target for melanoma therapy

Melanoma accounts for only 5% of all cancers but is the leading cause of skin cancer death due to its high metastatic potential. Patients with metastatic melanoma have a 10-year survival rate of less than 10%. While the clinical landscape for melanoma is evolving rapidly, lack of response to therapies, as well as resistance to therapy remain critical obstacles for treatment of this disease. In ...

IQGAP1 is an oncogenic target in canine melanoma

Canine oral mucosal melanoma is an aggressive malignant neoplasm and is characterized by local infiltration and a high metastatic potential. The disease progression is similar to that of human oral melanomas. Whereas human cutaneous melanoma is primarily driven by activating mutations in Braf (60%) or Nras (20%), human mucosal melanoma harbors these mutations much less frequently. This makes th...

Vitamin D Food Fortification is an Effective Approach for Improving Vitamin D Status; A Systematic Review

Background: Low vitamin D (vit D) serum levels have been linked to various diseases such as multiple sclerosis, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes. Maintenance of optimal vit D level should be supported by foods and supplements. Limited food sources of vit D made researchers focus on food fortification in recent years. Methods: A systematic review of randomized controlled trials reporting th...
